Many apartment and office buildings in Romania are inefficient from a heating and cooling standpoint. The resulting energy consumption is 50% higher than the EU average and produces more GHG (greenhouse gases) in Bucharest than vehicles do.
ISM works in close collaboration with the Romanian authorities to execute in apartment or administrative buildings:

  • a thermal and energy balance of the building
  • internal and external insulation, and placement of double glazing
  • installation of solar panels on roofs

Most of these works are heavily subsidized by the Government and attract a lot of contractors. However, only a handful, like ISM, managed to get through the hard selection and administrative process to become an approved contractor.
